Conventional

There are two general types of foundations, Slab on Grade and Conventional. A Conventional foundation is one that is lifted underneath by some sort of piles, generally concrete and/or brick. A Slab on Grade foundation is one in which they use gravel, wire mesh, reinforcing rods, and footings, and then pour the concrete on top.
