Since May of 2009, Joe has been working as an estimator for Ewing & Ray Foundation Services, Inc. However, before joining the Ewing & Ray team, he worked with many other established construction companies and projects as well as production plants. One of Joe’s first jobs was with Jasper Construction, a division of SJ Groves Construction out of Atlanta, GA, as a Plant Production Supervisor. After that, Joe moved forward with his career by working with various companies in the construction industry such as, Weekley Asphalt, Summers-Taylor, Inc., Superior Asphalt, Mississippi Materials Company, and Americrete, all as Plant Production Supervisors. After working for these companies, Joe decided to use the knowledge and experience he felt he had gained to open his own company, Dixie Concrete Finishing. While working for these various companies and even owning his own, Joe was able to gain a deeper understanding of the construction industry through many different types of projects. With Summers-Taylor, Inc., Joe worked on the Elizabethtown, TN Highway Construction Project, a $15 Million Contract. When working for MS Materials Company, Joe oversaw shipping of concrete to several large multi-million dollar hotel and casino work sites. While working with Jasper Construction, Joe worked on several $50-$60 million dollar contracts, and with Dixie Concrete, most of the jobs he worked on were in the $50,000 range.

Not only does Joe have an incredible amount of experience, Joe has also taken many different courses and has obtained a wide variety of certifications and licenses in various areas of specialty in the construction industry. Joe has many certifications from the American Concrete Institute including, certification in Flat Work Finishing, certification in Concrete Field Grade III Testing, as well as certification in Concrete Field Testing as a Technician. Joe also has been certified by the Mississippi Department of Transportation in Grade III Concrete Testing as well as by the Tennessee Department of Transportation in Plant Technical QA and QC. In addition to being Chance Certified in Foundation Underpinning, Helical Pull-Down Piles, and End-Bearing Micropiles Joe has his GENCO Burner certification. Joe is confident that his training and background, and his years of experience will allow him to appropriately assist you with any foundation, drainage, and/or structural problems you may be experiencing.
